Development of Map Applications for Running Events: A Case Study of Chombueng Marathon

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study and develop a running map application: a case study of Chom Bueng Marathon and assess the performance of a running unning map application. The sample group was 15 persons. They were faculty members and personnel who participated in the running event by the 2611/2019 memo under the Department of Building, Traffic, Accommodation, Parking, Chom Bueng Rajabhat University. The application's performance questionnaire was applied in the data collection. The questionnaire was evaluated in 5 areas: 1) The need of function 2) The work functions, 3) The applications, 4) the program outcome, and 5) Safety. The statistics used in the data analysis were mean and standard deviation. The results of the study found that: 1) The running map application identified the place by category, parking, accommodation, registration point, other services; and the application showed map and destination connecting to the Google Map API to display the route, and 2) the evaluation of application performance function was 4.41 as the overall average. The application correctly processed the list to meet the user's needs at a very good level (=4.66, SD=0.48). Functionality has a total mean of 4.38. It was found that the application speed was very good (=4.60, SD=0.50). The overall average of the application was 4.39, and the ease of application usage was found to be very good (=4.66, SD=0.48). The results obtained from the program had an overall mean of 4.39 and found that the results showed a good reduction in time and resources (=4.46, SD=0.51). The mean was 4.22 and found that the control of users was good (=4.40, SD=0.63).
