Development of Café Management Information System

Abstract

Objectives of this research was to 1) analyze, design and develop a café management information system, 2) evaluate efficiency of the café management information system, and 3) study users satisfaction of café management information system. The System development life cycle (SDLC) was used to study and develop the system employing Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 program with C# language and MySQL database management system to store accurate data on Windows 10 operating system. A sample group of 24 system users and 3 information technology experts were selected by purposive sampling. Tools used in this research consisted of 1) a coffee shop management information system, 2) a system efficiency assessment form, and 3) a user satisfaction assessment form. Results showed that the developed information system can handle key data such as beverage, drink type, customer, and manufacturer information. The system can manage raw material withdrawal information, order raw materials and sell coffee to customers Including issuance of sales receipts and performance reports. Evaluation Results of system efficiency by experts were at a high level (= 3.95, S.D. = 0.48) and overall user satisfaction to the system were at a high level (= 4.20, S.D. = 0.73).
