Over-surplus, Unemployed Public Health Officer and Guideline to solve

Abstract

Currently, Thailand has produced two categories of graduate degree in public health, namely Bachelor of Science degree (majoring in Public Health) and Bachelor of Public Health. Those who graduated from Bachelor of Science (majoring in Public Health) will focus on research and academic development.  Those who graduated with bachelor of Public Health will focus on professional and public health practice.  But the common ground for both categories of graduates is the intention to achieve the public health promotion and disease prevention.  However, study results of health workforce planning for the next decade (2560-2569 B.E.) of the subcommittee on Health Workforce Planning. 2559 B.E.) reported that there will be oversupply and unemployment of public health workforce in the year 2569 B.E.  The published result affects the morale of those who are studying undergraduate public health degree, and those who already graduated with public health degree, but still unemployed, which In fact, the study results may not be accurate.
