The Development of a Model for Activities and Trails for Multicultural Traditional Food Tourism in the Ancient Capital

Abstract

This research was aimed 1.to study a model for activities and trails for multicultural traditional food tourism in the ancient capital Ayutthaya, 2.to develop the management Structural Equation Model for activities and trails and 3.to create public relations media of model for activities and trails. This study was an inductive research based on mixed-methodology research which consisted of 3 parts as in 1) qualitative research through archival research, in-depth interview and focus group discussion. The sample group consisted of 21 government agencies, private sectors, business operators, and tourists. The purposive sampling method was used, and the samples were analyzed and summarized into each components. 2) quantitative research through survey research. The sample group consisted of 500 tourists traveling in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and 3) qualitative research through participatory action research (PAR). The sample group is the same as above. For the quantitative research tool was survey and the data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS. The Research results were as follows 1.The model for activities and trails for multicultural traditional food tourism in the ancient capital Ayutthaya had 4 major components 2.The analysis of the structural equation modelling showed that it met the criteria and that it was consistent with the empirical data and 3.To create public relations media to show the uniqueness of multiculturalism. Therefore, the research team recommends tourists to travel according to their religion in order to promote tourism and culture by learning through various activities.
