Strategies for Enhancing the Global Citizenship Character of Secondary School Students in Nan Province

Abstract
The objectives of this research were (1) To study the global citizenship character of the secondary school students and the current status of enhancement of the same in Nan Province. (2) To formulate a strategies and (3) To evaluate a strategies for enhancing the global citizenship character of secondary school students in Nan Province. The research has been divided into 3 phases: (1) study the concept and theory of the global citizenship character of secondary school students. The researcher conducted in-depth interviews with 6 scholars in strategy and world-class standard schools (2) develop and validate such the strategies by brainstorming focus group of high performance in 13 secondary school in Nan and (3) evaluate those strategies by the expert judgment. The researcher used the descriptive research method. The analysis was based on informative scrutiny by using content analysis technique. The collected data ware analyzed in frequency average and standard deviation.
The research findings were as followed:
1. The desirable global citizenship characteristic comprised of the following 3 groups: (1) Cognitive Domain (2) Psychomotor Domain and (3) Affective Domain with 6 characteristics items covering knowledge and understanding about the global situations, the necessary skills in 21st century and attitude to live together peacefully in the world.
2. The strategies for enhancing the global citizenship character of secondary school students in Nan province consisting of 9 main strategies, 11 projects and 61 activities.
3. The strategies for enhancing the global citizenship character of secondary school students in Nan province on the propriety the feasibility and the total advantage of the aforementioned strategies were evaluated as a high level of performance.
