Abstract

This academic article aims to analyze the types, systems, and main principles of elections; Election of members of the House of Representatives, and Factors affecting the decision to elect members of the House of Representatives. as a framework for analysis.


Finding are as follows: 1) All 27 elections for members of the House of Representatives in Thailand were general elections.  Use a variety of electoral systems. And there are important principles in the election, including : (1) the principle of freedom of elections, (2) the principle of periodic elections, (3) the principle of fair and clean elections, (4) the principle of equal exercise of voting rights, (5) the principle of voting in general, and (6) Principles of secret voting. 2) Election of members of the House of Representatives It is a process for the people to exercise their rights to choose their own representatives to act on their behalf in the House of Representatives. Determination of numbers, sources, electoral districts, and methods of election. specified in the constitution and related laws As for the problem of elections in Thai society, it is the problem of buying and selling votes. Election corruption problems of dividing electoral districts and 3) Factors that affect the decision to elect members of the House of Representatives include (1) the campaigning policies of the candidates (2) the campaigning of political parties (3) the characteristics of the candidates (4) the characteristics of the political parties (5) the aspects Past performance of the applicant and (6) benefits or returns received.
