Education Management Strategies for Developing a General Education Social Science Curriculum Aligned with Undergraduate Needs: A Case Study at Princess of Naradhiwas University

         This research article examines two key areas: 1) the educational promotion policies aimed at developing the General Education Curriculum (GEC) and 2) the educational management needs that influence policy and curriculum development in alignment with the requirements of bachelor's degree candidates at Princess of Naradhiwas University (PNU). A mixed methods approach was employed, with quantitative data collected from a sample of 471 undergraduate students at Princess of Naradhiwas University (PNU) and analyzed to determine statistical significance. Qualitative data was gathered from focus groups comprising eight students from various faculties and subjects. This qualitative data was analyzed in conjunction with the quantitative findings, with both sets of data grouped and analyzed together to discuss the results. The data analysis revealed that: 1) education promotion policies by regional universities were implemented locally in alignment with development goal, educational frameworks, and sustainability objectives; 2) PNU undergraduates primarily sought educational management policies that offered the highest practical applications for daily life, with a secondary emphasis on knowledge that promotes coexistence in a diverse diversity. The research recommendation advocates for the development of the General Education Curriculum (GEC) based on student needs, with a focus on humanities and social sciences while integrating knowledge from health sciences and technology. The goal is to establish policies that formulate curricula in line with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
