Creative leadership, innovative organization, school climate and school culture affecting effectiveness of secondary schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission, in the vicinity of Bangkok

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were to 1) Study the relationship between creative leadership of school administrators, innovative organization, school climate, school culture and effectiveness of secondary schools. 2) Create and examine the consistency between hypothesis and empirical data. 3) Study the size and effect path of creative leadership, innovative organization, school climate and school culture that affects the effectiveness of secondary schools. This research was a quantitative research. Data was collected using a questionnaire. The sample of 795 teachers was randomly drawn from the total of 54 secondary schools which was obtained by proportion stratified random sampling. The instrument used in the research was the questionnaire with the reliability value of 0.89. The data was analyzed using computer program. The research results indicated that 1) there were three variables which were creative leadership, school climate and school culture that were related to the effectiveness of secondary schools. 2) The relationship model of variables that affect the effectiveness of secondary schools which consisted of creative leadership that had direct effect, indirect effect and total effect with statistical significance at 0.01 level and also had indirect effect through school climate and school culture. School climate and school culture had direct effect and total effect with statistical significance at 0.01 level. Innovative organization had no direct, indirect and total effects on effectiveness of secondary schools which was consistent with the empirical data. (gif.latex?\dpi{120}&space;\dpi{150}&space;x^{2}=90.86, df=92, p=0.51, gif.latex?\dpi{120}&space;\dpi{150}&space;x^{2}/df=0.98, GFI=0.99, AGFI=0.97, NFI=1.00, NNFI=1.00, CFI=1.00, RMR=0.00, SRMR=0.01 and RMSEA=0.00). 3) The effectiveness of secondary schools was directly effects by creative leadership, school culture and school climate with the effect size of 0.30, 0.30 and 0.42 respectively and indirectly effected by creative leadership through school culture and school climate with the effect size of 0.57.
