The development of an English instructional model based on the concepts of multisensory and hands-on & minds-on for the ticket officers at Ayutthaya Historical Park

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were 1) to develop of an English instructional model based on the concepts of multisensory and hands-on & minds-on for the ticket officers 2) to experiment the model with the ticket officers, and 3) to compare learning achievement of the ticket officers before and after using the model. The population in this study was from 8 ticket officers. The research instruments were interview, participation observation, observe schedule, training manual, and an achievement test with reliability at 0.88. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation and growth score. The results were as followed. First, the developed model consisted of principle factors as followed: principal, objectives, learning process and the result of the developed instructional model. Secondly, the observation results of using the model revealed that the learners showed attentive behavior, used their senses together and concentrated at work without any mistake. Lastly, the learning achievement after using the model had mean score=16.00, which was higher than that of before using the model in which the mean score=11.50, with learners’ growth scores at 71.95.
