Model of competency, behavioral indicator of learning outcomes, and evaluation methods for Industrial Education students of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi

Abstract

          The purposes of this study were to 1) develop competency model, behavioral indicator of learning outcomes and methods used to evaluate learning outcomes, and 2) assess importance of competency model and behavioral indicator of learning outcomes, and the suitability of the learning outcome evaluative method, for Industrial Education students of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi. The research is divided into 2 steps, which were 1) develop competency model, behavioral indicator of learning outcomes and methods used to evaluate learning outcomes for Industrial Education students, derived by synthesizing documents and interviewing with 7 specialists in teacher profession, then sketched the pattern and used for checking the content validity by 7 experts who were obtained by the specific method of selection, and 2) assess importance of competency model and behavioral indicator of learning outcomes and the suitability of the learning outcome evaluative method for Industrial Education students employed by 67 lecturers from the Faculty of Industrial Education of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, with a questionnaire of 5 levels of estimating, analyzed using means and standard deviations.


          The results of this research revealed that 1) competency model, behavioral indicator of learning outcomes and methods used to evaluate learning outcomes for Industrial Education students of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi consisted of 6 competencies, which were cascaded into 24 behavioral indicators of learning outcomes, and 24 evaluation methods, and 2) competency model, and behavior indicator learning outcomes in every aspect and in every item, were at high to highest important, and the model of all assessment methods were suitable at high level.
