Abstract

Undeniably, animal science is an important knowledge that has been with humanity for such a long time. And Siam also had many treatises on animal as well. Mostly, these treatises inform us about the animal's appearance and name; but it do not detail how to create good quality animals. When Siam had close trade relations with the west, especially since the 1850s, the Siamese government had necessarily to develop the quality of its products. Scientific knowledge was recruited to help breeding animals, especially the hybridization between local and peregrine animals in order to have stronger species that immune to disease and weather conditions.
