Abstract

This article aims to increase the value of second-hand clothing by designing patterns inspired by birds in Pattani Bay, an area with high biodiversity. The design process begins with studying the characteristics of birds found in the area, selecting bird types using common birds and their different shapes to develop patterns that reflect the richness of Pattani Bay. Sketched and designed graphics of the birds of Pattani Bay using Kobayashi's Image Color Scale's Natural color set and printed them on canvas using a digital system. They are then applied to second-hand clothing using a patchwork technique, which involves sewing two or more pieces of fabric together to create a unique identity for Pattani Province for second-hand clothing. This is a new method for developing secondhand clothing with added value. Simultaneously, it sustainably enhances awareness of the environment and culture in the region.
