An Analysis of Cost-Effectiveness and Return of Farmers Participating in the Innovation Project for Value Chain Management in Nakhon Pathom Province

Abstract
The objectives of this research were (1) to study cost and returns of farmers participating in the project–An Innovation of Value Chain Management in Rice, Vegetable and Pomelo Safety to improve Agricultural Market’s standard in Nakhon Pathom, and (2) to analyze the worthiness and rate of return of farmers attending in this project. The questionnaire was used in in-depth interviews. A group of 30 farmers were involved in this project. And quantitatively analyzed the data. Analyze the rate of return for the project and the cost-benefit analysis to measure the cost-effectiveness of the project. The results of the study showed that Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of Pomelo, Tong-Dee and Kaonumpung are 14.59% and 27.94% respectively. As Benefit Cost Rate (BCR) is more than 1, which means that it was worth for investment. Moreover, another reason for investing is the result of the partial budget analysis methodology, which also shows an increase in the project's return on rice and vegetable safety.
