Chinese Cultural Experiences Learning by Using Activities-Based Learning to Enhance Creative Thinking Skills for Grade 6 Students

Abstract
The objectives of this research were (1) to design Chinese cultural experiences learning by using activities-based learning for grade 6 students and (2) to measure creative thinking skills through the development of Chinese cultural experiences learning for grade 6 students. This research was a pre-experimental research design. The sample group consisted of 25 Grade 6 students who registered for “Enjoy Chinese Culture” in the free elective course category of private schools in the second semester of 2024, selected through volunteer sampling. The research instruments consisted of (1) nine activity-based Chinese culture learning experience plans to promote creativity skills of Grade 6 students; and (2) the creative thinking skills assessment. Data were analyzed using the average mean and standard deviation against the specified criteria. The results of the research were as follows: (1) Chinese cultural experiences learning by using activities-based learning to enhance creative thinking skills in 9 plans consisted of 4 steps in learning process as follows: 1) Stimulation 2) Presentation of knowledge and experiences 3) Activity implementation and feedback and 4) Evaluation. The overall quality of the plans was rated at the highest level of appropriateness; (2) The results of the creative thinking skills assessment were compared with the specified criteria and found to be at an excellent level.
