Abstract

This article aims to describe how interdisciplinary research is pertinent to perspectives on political development and to identify how the interdisciplinary research can be employed as a tool to understand the political development.


The content of this article includes 1) the characteristics of interdisciplinary study, 2) interdisciplinary research, and 3) interdisciplinary study for development.


In political viewpoints, the contexts of and concepts on political development can be employed as a ground to study the interdisciplinary research and the political development process, particularly in the aspects of institution, process, and behavior.


The interdisciplinary research in regard to political development is expected to promote collaborations among organizations, scholars, and researchers. This endeavor shall lead to suggestions and recommendations that are beneficial to the political development process, particularly in the aspects of stability and efficiency in the national administration and development.
