Developing Model for Supporting Staff in Autonomous Universities to be High Potential Personnel

The objectives of this research and development were 1) to study the components of being a high potential personnel of supporting staff in autonomous universities, 2) to create a model for developing of supporting staff in autonomous universities to be high potential personnel, and 3) to evaluate the model for developing of supporting staff in autonomous universities to be high potential personnel.The samples population consisted of 500 supporting staff from autonomous universities, 5 experts in autonomous universities, and 15 stakeholders involved in the development of supporting staff in autonomous universities. The research tools were the high potential personnel component questionnaire, correctness and suitability of model for supporting staff in autonomous universities to be high potential personnel evaluation form, and developing model for supporting staff in autonomous universities to be high potential personnel evaluation form. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation statistics, and exploratory factor analysis.
The research results found that 1) The components of being high potential personnel in autonomous universities consisted of 4 components: operational efficiency, 21st century skills, personnel development guidelines, and personnel development strategy. 2) Model for developing of supporting staff in autonomous universities to be high potential personnel is a synthesis of conceptual, structures, and relationships of components. The accuracy and suitability were at a high level ( = 4.25, SD = 0.48 and
= 4.15, SD = 0.61, respectively). 3) Model for developing of supporting staff in autonomous universities to be high potential personnel; usefulness at the highest level (
= 4.93, SD = 0.26), possibility at the highest level (
= 4.54, SD = 0.69), suitability at the highest level (
= 4.53, SD = 0.54) and accuracy at a high level (
= 4.40, SD = 0.55).
