Abstract

Queen Jamadevi has been considered to be the model of “Dhammarajini”
(The Queen who Observed Dhamma). She had observed the Ten Virtues of Dhamma and taught her officers and the people to observe the Ten Virtues of Dhamma as well. She had the religious man named Risi Vasudeva who used to be a Buddhist monk as her adviser and he built the city and was a coordinator from the beginning. This demonstrated the Buddhist Influence having impact on the people of Lawa who were the natives of Doi Suthep
