THE DESIGN DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN’S BOOK “KUMANTHONG”

Abstract

A creativity research in form of children’s book was emerged from the imagination through the main character of Khun Chang Khun Phan story, in the episode of “The birth of Gold Ghost”, The author has furthered up the story in order to suit the level of the children. The purposes of creating this book are:  1) to develop a work, analyze the data and develop this creative children’s book named Gold Ghost, 2) to study the satisfaction of the readers toward the picture book. The sample that used in this research included 30 students in primary level in Wat Sa La Tasai school in the range of 6-9 years old, and 30 parents and teachers in the school. The research tools included the picture book of Gold Ghost, a satisfaction survey which was a kind of five rating scale. The result showed that:

1. The experts said that the development of the gold ghost picture book was in the good quality.

2. The comments from teachers, parents, and primary students in the survey indicated that, the gold ghost picture book was in the great level.
