CREATING ART ACTIVITIES FOR STRESS MANAGEMENT THERAPY IN JUVENILE OBSERVATION AND PROTECTION CENTRE OF SUPHANBURI PROVINCE

This creative research aimed to compare the stress of children and youth in the Juvenile Observation and Protection Center, Suphanburi Province before and after the use of the creative art creation activities that the researchers designed themselves by using the art therapy theory of Dr. Thaweesak Siriratreka In the following order 1. Establishes Rapport 2. Exploration 3. Experiencing 4. Empowerment. The total duration of the activity was 23 weeks (3 hours per week). The participants consisted of the total of 30 children. The study used the stress assessment form ST-5 of the Department of Mental Health to collect data. The results of the study showed that
- Before joining the project, 10% of the children and youth showed low stress. After joining the project 20% of the children and youth showed low stress.
- Before joining the project, 70.17% of the children and youth showed moderate stress. After joining the project, 73.32% of the children and youth showed moderate stress.
- Before joining the project 13.15% of the children and youth showed high stress. After joining the project, 6.68% of the children and youth showed high stress.
- Before joining the project 6.68% of the children and youth showed the highest stress. After joining the project 0% of the children and youth showed the highest stress.
After the project, it was found that no children and youth in the Juvenile Observation and Protection Center, Suphan Buri Province had the highest stress on the assessment. However, the result showed that low stress was statistically significantly increased to 10 percent.
