A Study of tourism Potentiality in Kanchanaburi Province as a Special Economic Zone

Abstract
This study had the objectives to survey on the tourism resources, and to study of tourism potentiality in Kanchanaburi Province as a Special Economic Zone. The guidelines should be proposed for the development of tourism in Kanchanaburi. Key informants were 24 representatives who had been selected by purposive indications, snowball selection technique, in-depth interviews, and participated observation techniques were used as the data collection methods and content analysis was used as for the data analysis method. The study results had found that: Kanchanaburi Province was a Special Economic Zone that had various resources including natural touristy resources, historical tourist resources, natural cultures and living traditional touristy resources, and man-made tourist resources. On the other hand, the status as a bordered town of Kanchanaburi that needed to develop for a tourist destination for tourism in Kanchanaburi Province as a Special Economic Zone, which there were 7 aspects that should be developed to be such resources, those were; tourist attractions, accessibilities, accommodations, facilities, touristic activities, community participations, and accountable managements.
