FACTORS AFFECTING MOTIVATION TO WORK FOR MILITARY SERVICE, ARMY UNIT 24 AT PRAJAKSILAPAKHOM CAMP, MUANG DISTRICT, UDORN THANI PROVINCE

Abstract
The research aimed to study factors affecting motivation to work for Military Service, Army Unit 24 at Prachaksinlapakhom Camp, Muang District, Udon Thani Province. The survey research was conducted by applying mixed methods: qualitative and quantitative research. The samples used in the research were 248 soldiers who were working at Military Service, Army Unit 24 at Prachaksinlapakhom Camp. The instrument used in the research was a wide range questionnaire. The statistics used for analyzing data were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation. The equations to predict the most appropriate factors affecting motivation to work for Military Service, Army Unit 24 applied multiple linear regression analysis by using Stepwise regression with considering the best variables which provided the highest correlation coefficient between predictive variables and dependent variables with statistical significance at .05 level.
The results of the research revealed that the most appropriate factors affecting motivation to work for Military Service, Army Unit 24 at Prachaksinlapakhom Camp were rated at a different level from high to low accordingly: Remuneration, dignity, prosperity and guidelines for career. The suggestions from research revealed that there should have the allowance improvement and there should increase the income which were in accordance with the economic situation. For the factors of prosperity, it should increase the opportunity entering the organizational images authentically. For the factor of career guidedances, there should have the working standard which were widely socially accepted.
