The Self Directed Learning Model Through Social Media of Graduate Students by Collaborative Learning

Abstract

This article is a part of “The development of the self-directed learning model through the use of the social media through collaborative learning”. The purposes of this research were to develop of self-directed learning model through the social media content created by graduate students through collaborative learning. The steps in the development model has two phases: the relevant information and development model. The sample consisted of thirty 30 graduate students studying Education at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University who took the 27704 Seminar on Technology and Communication studies, in the second semester of 2015 academic year. The results were as follows: the model consisted of (1) the goal of the study; (2) devided into groups to work, plan and study; (3) establishing agreement; (4) brainstorming; (5) presenting the work; (6) self evaluation. The result of the opinions of the experts found that the model was the same as the self-directed learning model through the social media of graduate students by collaborative learning used in a graduate study in Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. The IOC was 0.6-1.0.
