Abstract

The main objective of this article is to 1) present and analyze information related to community policing 2) present the role of community policing including problems and obstacles of community policing and 3) propose ways to increase the value of the operation of community policing for improving the performance. This article applied descriptive methods. The scope of this article focuses on the performance of roles as officially assigned and proactive working of community policing in accordance with the current context, such as society, environment, and technology, and aware of the success of the resulting from supported and participation between the community policing and the community in the participation for solve problems and occurring in the community to efficiently from limited resources. And be able to improve the quality of community life and can be deal with various situations, which may change in various dimensions. And improve be able to be self-reliant and be dependent on the Community, Society, and Nation.
