A Study of Political Culture of Democracy in Bangkok Metropolis: Case of People in Bangkapi District

Abstract
The purposes of this research were (1) to study about the level of democratic political culture of people in Bangkapi District, Bangkok Metropolis; and (2) to compare the different backgrounds of people and democratic political culture of people in Bangkapi District, Bangkok Metropolis. The population consisted of 400 people in Bangkapi District, Bangkok Metropolis. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The reliability was 0.790. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t – test and F-test (One – way ANOVA). The results of the research were as follows: 1. The level of democratic political culture of people in Bangkapi District, Bangkok Metropolis, overall was in the high level; and 2. The comparison result found that the political culture of people in Bangkapi District, Bangkok Metropolis with different gender and age had no difference, but people with different educational levels, income and political attitude were statistically significantly different at the .05 level.
