Guidelines for the Development of Safety Management Measures for Motorcycle Riders in Thailand

Abstract
The objectives of this study were to study behavior problems related to motorcycling and to obtain measures for the safety management of motorcycle riders in Thailand. It was a research method. The descriptive statistics were used to find frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. By distributing questionnaires, data obtained from quantitative research were used to conduct qualitative research. The instruments used were in-depth group discussions and interviews. The results of the research were as follows: (1) Personal data can be answered that the big bike riders must have the qualifications of old age or legal age, be mature, both physically and mentally; (2) The problem of driving was a matter of training to have the knowledge and understanding of safe driving which the driver still lacks sufficient skills and knowledge driving a Big Bike; and (3) Motorcycle Big Bike is a vehicle that is different from general motorcycles. Thailand has to set a requirement to classify big bikes from general motorcycles. To have a clearer gauge and required to have a special motorcycle driving license.
