Characteristics of School Administrators that Affect the Teacher’s Job Satisfaction in Khuen Banglang Cluster under Yala Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: (1) to study the characteristics of school administrators; (2) to study teacher’s job satisfaction; and (3) to study characteristics of school administrators that affect the teacher’s job satisfaction, in Khuen Banglang Cluster under Yala Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The population consisted of administrators and teachers of the schools. The samples were randomized by stratified random sampling. The samples were 118 informants. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The reliability was 0.919. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results of the research were as follows: 1. The levels of the characteristics of school administrators, overall and specific was in the high level, the personality characteristics were ranked the highest, followed by the professional skills, the leadership and the knowledge and competence in management were in the lowest rank; 2. The levels of the teacher’s job satisfaction, overall and specific was in the high level, the motivators factor was ranked the highest, followed by the hygiene factor were in the lowest rank; and 3. The characteristics of the school administrators which affect in the teacher’s job satisfaction, there was only one component: professional skills. The effective to predict accounted for 34.30 percent.
