Characteristics of Entrepreneurs under Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity Situations (VUCA)

Abstract
The purposes of this research were to analyze the characteristics of entrepreneurs under situations of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA). The population consisted of entrepreneurs and SME businesses in the Bangkok area. The data were collected from a purposive sample of 250 people using questionnaires, whose reliability was 0.963. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and exploratory factor analysis. The results of the research were as follows: The factors that involved characteristics of entrepreneurs under situations of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) were divided into 11 factors: live and learn, characteristics, self-esteem, connection, managerial skills, capability, problem solving, creative innovation, leadership, intelligence, and communication. When combining all 11 of these factors together, they totally affect the characteristics of entrepreneurs at 59.113%.
