Abstract

This academic article aims to study philosophy and educational concepts through reviewed literature, concepts, theories, documents, books, and related articles. Emphasis is placed on the study of three groups of philosophical concepts: 1) Western philosophical concepts, 2) Eastern philosophical concepts, and 3) Buddhist philosophical concepts. Educational philosophy is an important part of education management because it is the basis of knowledge, and beliefs used as principles and concepts for effective educational management which must adhere to the guidelines for education management or philosophy of education in accordance with social objectives and social situations in each era. To make effective education management a compass that will make the country progress towards the desired goal, educational philosophy, therefore, is important to be set as guidelines for the development of the country.
