The Study of Effects of Health literacy, Occupational Safety, and Drug Immunity on Well-being of Motorcycle Taxi Riders in Bangkok Metropolis

Abstract
Objectives of the research are: 1) to study the well-being (physical, psychological, social and wisdom), health literacy, occupational safety and drug immunity of motorcycle taxi riders in Bangkok metropolis; and 2) to examine the effects of health literacy, occupational safety, and drug immunity on job satisfaction and well-being of motorcycle taxi riders in Bangkok metropolis as the mediating role of job satisfaction and effects of prosocial behavior on well-being of motorcycle taxi riders in Bangkok metropolis. The quantitative method was applied with 418 samples selected by multi stage sampling. The data was collected from September to November 2022. The results found that 1) the motorcycle taxi riders are in poor physical well-being, whereas the psychological well-being, social well-being, and wisdom well-being are at a high level. Regarding health literacy, it was found that the sample have poor health literacy. In terms of work safety and drug immunity, safety standards as well as drug immunity are at a high level. Meanwhile job satisfaction and prosocial behavior are at high levels; 2) the path analysis model of health literacy, occupational safety, and drug immunity on job satisfaction, which serves as the mediator, and well-being; and the effects of prosocial behavior on well-being was harmonized with empirical data. The aforementioned variables together explained 27% of the variance in well-being.
