The National Competitive Advantage of Thai Latex Pillows Industry
Main Article Content
Abstract
The latex pillow industry has been growing to support the rubber industry in Thailand. The competitive advantage of the Thai latex pillow industry in the global market is essential and needs to be examined. The study aims to analyze the national competitive advantage of the Thai latex pillow industry in light of Porter’s diamond model. A sample of 246 managers and owners of the latex pillow industry was drawn using convenience sampling. Data was collected via an online, self-administered questionnaire used as the research instrument. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The study found that all six components constituting the national competitive advantage of the latex pillow industry were rated as having extreme potential. These included domestic demand, chance, structure, and competition in the country, related and supportive industries, factor conditions, and government, respectively.
