The Influence of Quality of Work Life and Happiness in Work Performance on Commitment of Sakon Nakhon Provincial Administrative Organization Personnel

Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to investigate the level of quality of work life; 2) to investigate the level of happiness in work performance; 3) to investigate the level of commitment; and 4) to investigate the influences of quality of work life and happiness in work performance on commitment of Sakon Nakhon Provincial Administrative Organization personnel. The research sample consisted of 250randomly selected Sakon Nakhon Provincial Administrative Organization personnel. The sample size was determined based on Yamane’s method. The employed research instrument was a questionnaire dealing with quality of work life, happiness in work performance, and commitment of Sakon Nakhon Provincial Administrative Organization personnel with reliability coefficients of .95, .95, and .86, respectively. Statistics employed for data analysis were the percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis.
The research results showed that1) the overall quality of work life of the personnel was at the high level;2) the overall happiness in work performance of the personnel was at the high level; 3) the overall personnel’s commitment was at the high level; and 4)quality of work life had influence on commitment of personnel by 50 percent, which was significant at the .05 level of statistical significance; while happiness in work performance had influence on personnel’s commitment by 58 percent, which was also significant at the .05 level of statistical significance; the results were in accordance with the formulated hypotheses.
