Teacher Competencies of Students in the Faculty of Education, Buriram Rajabhat University According to the PTRU Model

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) Study competency of professional teacher of the students in the Faculty of Education, Buriram Rajabhat University according to the PTRU Model and 2) Compare competency of professional teacher of the students based on gender, students’ program of study and cumulative GPA. The sample were 242 students from years 5 in the 2024 academic year, selected through stratified random sampling was used based on the field of study. The research instrument for data collection was a questionnaire and analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test and One-Way ANOVA.

The results of study were as follows: 1) The teacher professional competency of the students in the Faculty of Education, Buriram Rajabhat University according to the PTRU Model found that overall the average level was at the highest level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspects with the highest average were  the aspect of teacher personality and attitude and good citizen, respectively, while the lowest average was found in the aspect of curriculum design and development. And 2) The comparative teacher professional competency of the students based on gender, students’ program of study and cumulative GPA were found no difference. Furthermore, the leadership, the community relationship, and the learning supporting were statistically different at the .05.
