Developing Bansomdej Chaopraya Rajabhat University Students’ Public Mind by Using an Instructional Model Based on Contemporary Psychological Concept

Abstract
The research objectives were 1) to develop an instructional model based on contemporary psychological concept to enhance students’ public mind; 2) to study students’ public mind; 3) to compare students’ public mind before and after learning through the developed instructional model; and 4) to study the satisfaction on activities in the developed instructional model. The sample of the study consisted of 30 Bansomdej Chaopraya Rajabhat University students in the 2016 academic year. The research instruments were learning management plans; a public mind questionnaire; a public mind test; and a satisfaction questionnaire. Statistics employed for data analysis were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test for dependent sample. The research results revealed that 1) the instructional model based on contemporary psychological concept to enhance students’ public mind consists of 4 aspects: principles; objectives; learning process of the model comprising 5 stages; motivation, acquiring, practicing, managing and reviewing the system, and implementing; and the result from learning through the model; 2) the overall attributes of students’ public mind was at the moderate level; 3) students’ public mind after learning through the instructional model was significantly higher than before learning at the .05 level; and 4) the satisfaction on activities of the instructional model based on contemporary psychological concept was at the high level.
