Abstract

The purposes of this study were to: 1) investigate the effectiveness, 2) study the impact factor of administrative and educational resource, 3) study the relationship between the impact factor of administrative and educational resource, 4) study the impact factor of administrative and educational resource resulting to the effectiveness ofthe special education centers in eastern region, and 5) establish an equation to predict the effectiveness depending on the impact factor of administrative and educational resource.

The sample used in the study consisted of 132 teachers of the special education centers in the eastern region. The instruments used for the data collecting were the checklist questionnaires, which have five-level rating scale. The statistics utilized for analyzing the data were arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple correlation, multiple regression analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis.

The findings of this research show as follows: 1) effectiveness of special education centers in the eastern region in each item and overall was rated at a medium level, 2) impact factor of administrative and educational resource in each item and overall was rated at a medium level, 3) the relationship between the impact factor of administrative and the educational resource related to the effectiveness of the centers was found significantly at .05 level, 4) factors in team working and participation affecting the effectiveness of the centers were found significantly at .05 level, and 5) team working (X3), participation (X4) were the best predictors of the effectiveness of special education center in the eastern region with 84.6 percent that could be written in the form of following equation: ŷ  =.012+ 0.213 +0.743  or in the standard equation below. Z^  =0.217 X3  + 0.944 X4
