Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this research were (1) to study the level of using external quality assessment results to develop quality of schools under Bangkok Metropolitan Administration; (2) to study the level of factors related to the application of external quality assessment results; (3) to study the relationship between the level of using external quality assessment and the level of factors related to the application of external quality assessment results to develop quality of the schools; and (4)to analyze the factors influencing the application of external quality assessment results to develop quality of the schools.The research sample consisted of 205 schools.The employed research instrument was a questionnaire with reliability coefficient of .97. Statistics employed for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis. Research findings were that (1) both the overall and specific uses of external quality assessment results were rated at the high level; (2) both the overall and specific factors related to the application of external quality assessment results were rated at the high level; (3) the correlation between the level of using external quality assessment results and the level of factors related to the application of external quality assessment results was positively high and significant at the .01 level; and (4) regarding analysis results of the factors influencing the application of external quality assessment results to develop quality of the schools, it was found that the process of evaluation(X1), the characteristics of concerned personnel (X5), the characteristics of the evaluator (X3), and the evaluation results (X2) were factors influencing the success of the application of external quality assessment results (Z).; they could be combined to explain the variance of using external quality assessment results to develop quality of the schools by 55.80 percent which was significant at the .05 level; the multiple regression equation in the form of standard score was as follows:
Z = .383 (X1) +.237 (X5) + .151 (X3) +. 126 (X2)
