การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อบทบาทภาวะผู้นำเหนือผู้นำ ระดับบทบาทภาวะผู้นำเหนือผู้นำ และปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อบทบาทภาวะผู้นำเหนือผู้นำของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษากรุงเทพมหานคร เขต 2 ผู้วิจัยได้รวบรวมข้อมูลจากการแจกแบบสอบถามในสถานศึกษาข้างต้นทั้งสิ้น 52 โรงเรียน จำนวน 380 ฉบับ โดยจัดส่งแบบสอบถามไปยังสถานศึกษาจำนวน 380 ฉบับ ได้รับแบบสอบถามที่สมบูรณ์คืนจำนวน 380 ฉบับ คิดเป็นร้อยละ100 ทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สำเร็จรูป สถิติที่ใช้ได้แก่ ค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยพหุคูณแบบขั้นตอน
ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) ระดับปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อบทบาทภาวะผู้นำเหนือผู้นำของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษากรุงเทพมหานคร เขต 2 มีการปฏิบัติโดยรวมและรายด้านอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยเรียงลำดับจากมากไปหาน้อย ได้แก่ ด้านบุคลิกภาพ ด้านวิสัยทัศน์ ด้านความเชื่อมั่นในตนเอง และด้านความไว้วางใจ ตามลำดับ 2) ระดับบทบาทภาวะผู้นำเหนือผู้นำของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษากรุงเทพมหานคร เขต 2 มีการปฏิบัติโดยรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก 3) ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อบทบาทภาวะผู้นำเหนือผู้นำของผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษามัธยมศึกษากรุงเทพมหานคร เขต 2 เรียงตามลำดับเข้าสู่สมการจากการวิเคราะห์การถดถอยพหุคูณ หรือสมการพยากรณ์ ได้แก่ ความไว้วางใจของผู้บริหาร (X3) บุคลิกภาพของผู้บริหาร (X4) วิสัยทัศน์ของผู้บริหาร (X1) และความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองของผู้บริหาร (X2) ตามลำดับ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01
