Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop analytical thinking by using Inquiry-Based Learning Management on the basic unit of life for 7th grade students in order to achieve an achievement score of 70% and ensure that at least 70% of the student group passed the criterion. The research applied the One-Shot Case Study to the Pre-Experiment Design. The target group consisted of 17 students in 7th grade at Nong Ya Plong School who were purposefully selected during the second semester of the 2022 academic year.

Research instruments included: 1) 4 lesson plans on the science subject of the basic unit of life on Inquiry-Based learning management; 2) 30 multiple-choice tests on objective learning achievement tests on analytical thinking ability. The data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and percentage.

The results showed that, the students made a mean learning achievement score of 22.88 or 76.27% of the full marks in analytical thinking ability, and 14 students or 70.20% of the sample group passed the 70% criterion which is higher than the prescribed criterion.
