The Guidelines for School Curriculum Administration Development Promoting Quality of Early Childhood Education of Thoed Thai Education Development Network under Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

The objectives of this study were 1 ) to examine the state of school curriculum administration of Thoed Thai Education Development Network 2 ) to investigate key factors affecting the school curriculum administration of Thoed Thai Education Development Network) to develop the guidelines for school curriculum administration development promoting quality of early childhood education of Thoed Thai Education Development Network. The population was 45 participants including school principal, primary teachers, school committees, and parents. The research instruments involved questionnaire, focus-group discussion, structured interview. The statistics for data analysis were mean and standard deviation. The results showed that: 1. The state of school curriculum administration of Thoed Thai Education Development Network was rated at the high level. The individual aspect analysis covering 4 domains i.e. curriculum administration, supervision, monitoring and evaluation, operation summary, improvement and development of curriculum administration process were rated at the high level in all domains. 2. The key factors affecting the school curriculum administration of Thoed Thai Education Development Network revealed that 1) Promoting factors were administrators, personnel, and budget 2) Depromoting factors were media and equipment, buildings, parents and communities. 3. The guidelines for school curriculum administration development promoting quality of early childhood education of Thoed Thai Education Development Network were proposed. 1 ) Planning: The school should construct school curriculum by coordinating with involved parties to determine vision and desirable characteristics of students and learning content in school curriculum as well as improve and develop school curriculum to concur with local contexts. 2) Administration: School administrators should develop early childhood education curriculum development plan by defining standards and indicators of early childhood education programs in line with school context, design plan for supervision, monitoring, review curriculum implementation systematically. 3 ) Promotion of teachers and personnel: School administrators should develop personnel to be learning individuals by organizing training to develop teachers and personnel to acquire knowledge and ability in analyzing and designing school curriculum, able to apply knowledge gained from training to design and develop instructional management in line with the school’s standards and indicators, encourage teachers to gain expertise in organizing experiences, promote professional advancement for teachers, and create morale and motivation for personnel in schools. 4) Participation of teachers, parents and community: School administrators, teachers
