The Guidelines for Internal Quality Assurance Implementation of Kittikhun Doiluang School under Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 3

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to examine the current situation of internal assurance system at Kittikhun Doiluang School 2) to investigate the desired situation of internal assurance system at Kittikhun Doiluang School 3) to discover the needs and wants of internal assurance system at Kittikhun Doiluang School 4) to develop the guidelines for implementing internal assurance system at Kittikhun Doiluang School. The population was 24 participants including school administrators, teachers, and educational personnel of Kittikhun Doiluang School in their academic year 2019. The research instruments was a questionnaire comprising 3 parts: Part 1 for demographic data of the respondents; Part 2 for the needs and wants in developing 5 domains of internal quality assurance system for the school i.e. Planning internal quality assurance system, Implementation internal quality assurance system, Monitoring internal quality assurance system, Evaluating internal quality assurance system, Improving internal quality assurance system; Part 3 Comments and suggestions for the needs and wans in developing internal quality assurance system for the school. The interview and focus-group discussion for questionnaire validation indicated the reliability at 1.00. The statistics for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Modified Priority Needs Index. The results revealed that: 1) The current internal quality assurance system of Kittikhun Doiluang School, in overall, was rated at the moderate level. The remedy is revealed in this order i.e. supervision planning, supervision improvement, supervision deployment, supervision monitoring, and supervision evaluation. 2) The desired situation of internal quality assurance system for the school, in overall, was rated at the highest level. The remedy is revealed in this order i.e. supervision improvement, supervision monitoring, supervision evaluation, supervision planning, and supervision deployment. 3) The needs index for developing internal qualityassurance system, in overall, was ranked at needed for development i.e. Supervision planning, supervision deployment, supervision improvement, supervision evaluation, and supervision monitoring. 4) The guidelines for developing the internal quality assurance system were proposed. That is, teachers should be supported to research, experiment, and improve their teaching. Teachers should be involved in supervision planning by using reliable supervision tools, and monitor the instructional management in compliance with the learning objectives. Teachers should receive assistance on improving their teaching. And, the monitoring should be conducted for supervision of the instructional managements in all learning areas.
