The Development of Strategies for Academic Affairs Administration and Management by Using Educational Innovation during the Pandemic of Bandaitepkanjanaubhatham School

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: (1) To examine the state of academic affairs administration and management of Bandaitepkanjanaubhatham School. A questionnaire was used in collecting the data from school director, vice director, teachers and educational personnel. The data was calculated for mean and standard deviation. (2) To investigate key factors affecting the quality of academic affairs administration and management. (3) To analyze the desirable future scenario and to develop the strategies for academic affairs administration and management by using educational innovation during the pandemic of Bandaitepkanjanaubhatham School. The data collection involved meetings with school administrators, chief of academic affairs, chiefs of learning area, teachers, curriculum administration committee, community representatives. The data was analyzed by content analysis and the results were transformed into fishbone diagram and narrative summary. The results showed that:

1. The state of academic affairs administration and management of Bandaitepkanjanaubhatham School, in overall, was rated at the highest level, while 5 aspects rated at the high level were 1) assessment, evaluation and credit transfer; 2) instructional management 3) curriculum development 4) learning process development 5) development and implementation of educational technology media.
2. The key factors affecting academic affairs administration and management during the pandemic of Bandaitepkanjanaubhatham School were 1) promoting factors and
   2) de-promoting factors which mainly concerned personnel, budget, materials and equipment, management process.
3. The desirable future scenario consisted of 5 aspects 1) Awareness and attitudes towards learning management under unfavorable circumstance 2) learning management adjustment 3) modification of assessment and evaluation platforms 4) curriculum development 5) development and implementation of educational technology media.
4. The strategies for academic affairs administration by using educational innovation during the pandemic of Bandaitepkanjanaubhatham School consisted of setting up Vision, Mission, Goals and designing of strategic plans and strategic issues for academic affairs administration. The strategies and strategic issues were proposed.
