The Guidelines Developing Soft Skills for Newly Appointed School Administrators under Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

                   The aims of this study were  (1) to examine the soft  skills of newly appointed school administrators under Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2; (2) to develop the guidelines developing soft skills of newly appointed school administrators under Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The population recruited 84 participants including newly appointed school administrators, teachers, Director and Vice Director of Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, educational supervisors, Director of Teacher and Educational Personnel Development Group, in-service school administrators. The research instruments were questionnaire and interview. The data was analyzed for frequency, percentage and content analysis. The results showed that:

1. The soft  skills of newly appointed school administrators under Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, in overall, were rated at the highest level.
2. The guidelines developing soft skills of newly appointed school administrators under Chiang Mai Primary Educational Service Area Office consisted of 4 steps i.e. (1) Plan (2) Do (3) Check (4) Act.
