Development of Strategies Promoting Servant Leadership for School Administrators at Chiang Rai International Christian School (CRICS)

Abstract

This mixed-method study aimed to develop the strategies promoting servant leadership for school administrators of Chiang Rai International Christian School (CRICS).
The results showed that:  1) The servant leadership among school administrators at CRICS, in overall, was found at the high level. The aspect showing excellent implementation was Biblical Worldview. The promoting factors for servant leadership were statement of faith declaration, and paying attention on education. The de-promoting factors were inequality, constraints in working to serve the God. The desirable future scenario for servant leadership comprised belief and faith in principles of God prescribed in the Bible.  2) Review existing vision, determine in offering education and develop students to attain morality and ethics following Jesus as well as achieve academic competence nurtured by CRICS instructional approach. 3) Determine vision underpinning the CRICS school administrators possess servant leadership as role-modeled by Jesus and are able to efficiently administer the school.  4) Administration mission referring to promoting and developing servant leadership of school administrators as role-modeled by Jesus, promote and develop teacher professional competency, teamwork.  5)  Determine goals referring to CRICS school administrators possess servant leadership as role-modelled by Jesus, teachers and educational personnel holding knowledge and competence in professional standards and construct values. 6)  The strategic issues for determining project plans were Leading Strategies, Teamwork and Organizing Strategies.
