The Administration Strategies of the King’s Philosophy School Kuu Tao Campus for Sustainable Development in Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: (1) To examine the administration circumstance of the King’s Philosophy School Kuu Tao Campus in Chiang Saen District, Chiang Rai Province. The population recruited 60 stakeholders in development of the King’s Philosophy School for responding to the questionnaire. (2) To develop the administration strategies of the King’s Philosophy School Kuu Tao Campus for sustainable development. The focus-group discussion was employed to draft and validate the strategies. The specialist informants were school director, vice director, deputy director, working committee of the King’s Philosophy School, educational supervisor who were stakeholders in determining administration policy of the King’s Philosophy Kuu Tao Campus.  The results showed that:

1. The administration circumstance of the King’s Philosophy School Kuu Tao Campus revealed that the respondents’ opinion on accessibility principle, in overall, was rated at the high level, while development principle was also rated at the high level.

2. The administration strategies for the King’s Philosophy School Kuu Tao Campus for sustainable development underpinning Sufficiency Economy Philosophy consisted of 3 key strategies i.e. Strategy 1 Understanding the context of school and community; Strategy 2 Accessing the needs of students and community; and Strategy 3 Developing the school for sustainability.
