Migrant workers’ right on health care in Bangkok healthcare services

Abstract

This article focus on migrant workers’ right on health care and healthcare services in Bangkok. When epidemic diseases occur among migrants, it is difficult to control the situation due to their unknown address and miscommunication between them and healthcare professionals. These problems have effect on public health care, tourism and economic in Bangkok. Accessing health care, receiving health care promotion and diseases prevention and control are necessary standard for Thai and migrant workers in Bangkok. Therefore, educating migrant workers awareness on their health care right and understanding their health security and accessing health care setting near them. Guiding migrant workers about their right before coming to work, so that they have knowledge on health care and eliminate problems from limited knowledge on health care and unable access to health care services in Bangkok.
