A Development of routine to research in Sriracha District, Chonburi Province

Abstract

This experimental development research, with pre- and post- one group implementation design, had the following objectives: 1) to develop a routine-to- research (R2R) model, using existing resources; 2) To compare results of operations between pre- and post- implementation.  This study was conducted at public health offices in Sriracha district, from March 27 to September 30, 2018. Sample size were 34 R2$ cases in 13 public health offices. The respondents for questionnaire were 62 persons-time.  Research tools were 12 instruments, including intervention, new routine to research model, service provider information, and satisfaction questionnaire.  Data analysis and statistical methods used were descriptive statistics and content analysis.

            Results indicated that ratio of average work load and one worker increased, quality increased, with average time and labor-force consumed decreased. Average satisfaction rate of administrators, service providers, and service receivers increased, when implemented R2R.  Total cost and unit cost decreased.  Results and effectiveness increased, with conclusion that the new developed working model was a good working model, and appropriate for the context of public health offices in Sriracha district, which had limited resources and high work load.  Recommendation was to improve the model to be a national role model of R2R in public health district offices around the country.
