The Development of Information System for Personnel Management: A Case of the Veterinary Research and Development Center Western Region

Abstract
This research is developmental research that aims to 1) develop an information system for personnel management of the Veterinary Research and Development Center Western Region, and 2) evaluate the satisfaction of the developed information system. The system development life cycle (SDLC) model was used to guide the development of the information system for personal management. The research tools consisted of 1) the interview form for user needs in system development conducted to interview with eleven representatives from the administrators and staff, 2) the system development program which is Microsoft Access 2016 under Microsoft Windows 10 operating system to manage the database, create a data record form, data processing, and prepare a personnel data report, and 3) the system user satisfaction assessment form used to evaluate the system by 30 users selected from staffs. The purposive sampling was used to select the sample of the research and the data were analyzed by using averages and standard deviation.
The results of this research revealed that the developed information system could respond to the users’ needs, be able to record, edit, seek for information, and produce reports related to the personnel to make use of personnel management easily and efficiently. The satisfaction assessment results of use of information systems were shown in 4 aspects: usability test, functional test, security test and user requirement test. The satisfaction assessment of the information system found that the majority of users were satisfied overall to a good level.
