The Evaluate the Support System of the Fund Mentors Group and Graduate Volunteers for the Implementation of Projects According to the Peace Operation Plan in the Southern Border Areas

Abstract

        This research evaluate the support system of the fund mentor group and graduate volunteers for the implementation of projects according to the peace operations plan in the southern border areas. The objective was to evaluate the support system, track project value and evaluate the output, results and impact of the fund mentor group and volunteer graduates after the training. This research uses an integrated research method. There were 130 people involved in the research both government and private agencies. The data collection tools were focus group discussion, participatory observation, brainstorming and data analysis in the form of content analysis. 


       The results of the research found that the management system has a support system for fund mentors and graduate volunteers had in 4 areas: 1) Academic Center for Public Policy Development on Health Promotion Prince of Songkla University organized training to provide knowledge about doing the project, 2)Arranging advisors projects from the sub-district fund to carry out the project, 3) Recommend channels to access funding sources to carry out the project, 4) Develop project implementation skills. The value of the project comes from the support of the fund mentor group and volunteer graduates had 6 areas: 1) Creation of community knowledge or innovation, 2) The occurrence of health changes, 3) Create an environment conducive to health, 4) Positive impacts and public policies that facilitate the creation of community health, 5) Community processes occur, 6) Promotion of intellectual and mental health occurs. Finally, the results and impacts included (1) Productivity: increased number of projects, (2) Results: this mechanism helps volunteer graduates carry out their work, (3) Impact: risk factor management projects complement community development completed in every dimension. These systems ultimately lead to the sustainability of project operations in the area.
