Maejo Business Review (MBR) is committed to maintaining the quality of the journal and ethical standards in publication, including strict compliance with the requirements. For the benefits of all stakeholders, as well as the readers of the academic and society as a whole. Maejo Business Review, therefore, established the ethics in publishing based on the following roles and duties:
Ethics of Authors
1. Author’s paper submitted for publishing in the journal must not been published anywhere before or not in the process of reviewing for academic publication nor in academic conference at the same time.
2. If the author quotes other’s work in the paper, it must be cited in the content and listed clearly in the reference.
3. The author must write the journal in accordance with the format set by the editorial team in ‘Advices on paper preparation’.
4. Authors appeared in the journal must be the person who actually contributed in the work.
5. The authors must report the facts arising from the research or study
6. The authors must identify funding sources that support the research and identify conflict of interests (if any).
Ethics of Reviewers
1. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not disclose any part of the paper under evaluation process to others.
2. Reviewers should evaluate the paper in their own field of expertise and actually have the knowledge and understanding of the author’s content with the assessment or criticism in academic perspectives.
3. Reviewers must consider the quality of the paper without bias or personal reasons in evaluation and no personal interests with the author.
4. If reviewers are involved or have personal interests in the paper sent by the editorial team, the reviewers must inform the editorial team immediately.
5. Reviewers must follow the time for paper evaluation to be within the time frame specified by the editorial team.
Ethics of the Editors
1. Editors are responsible for screening and reviewing papers submitted for publication in the Journal by evaluating the contents consistent with the objectives and scopes of the journal.
2. Editors select the reviewers with expertise relevant to the specific academic paper to evaluate the quality of the paper, which the reviewers do not have the personal interests with the author.
3. Editors must no disclose author’s and reviewer’s information to each other.
4. Editors must apply academic reasons in evaluating papers without bias and no personal reason in evaluating the author’s work.
5. Editors must publish the papers which have passed the evaluation of the reviewers and have revised based on the reviewer’s suggestions only.
6. Editors must not have personal interests with the author or the reviewers, and not use the paper for the commercial purpose or use as their own academic work.
7. Editors must review the quality of the paper in the evaluation process and assess the quality before been published every time.
