Objectives

  1. To promote and disseminate academic works or research in cultural arts and cultural education
  2. To serve as a platform for knowledge exchange and academic networking in cultural arts research
  3. To provide a resource for academic services and research in cultural arts

Scope

Accepted fields of study include philosophy, humanities, and social sciences, with a focus on cultural arts such as dramatic arts, music, visual arts and educational studies, such as learning management, teaching, educational measurement and evaluation in the fields of cultural arts as well as Interdisciplinary Integration of cultural arts.

Types of Articles Accepted

Original articles, research articles, creative work articles, and review articles in philosophy, humanities, and social sciences, presenting original ideas, theories, methods, research, or processes related to visual arts, dramatic arts, music and cultural education. The submitted works must not have been previously published elsewhere and must not be under consideration for publication in other journals. Plagiarism, duplication, or copyright infringement is prohibited.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published biannually, with two issues per year (every 6 months )

Issue 1: January - June

Issue 2: July – December

The journal is  published both Thai and English articles.

Number of Articles Published per Issue are 5-15 articles per issue.

Publication Fees

1. The rates of fees for publishing Thai articles are as follows:      

      (1) Students: 1,500 baht per article    

      (2) Personnel: 2,000 baht per article     

      (3) General public: 3,000 baht per article

2. The rates of fees for publishing English articles are 4,500 baht per article.

Note: The publication fee is charged when the article enters the review process and the fee once paid is non-refundable to the author under any circumstances.

Peer Review Process

The article published in the journal must undergo consideration, review, and examination, as well as critical analysis, correctness, and academic suitability by at least three qualified individuals in the relevant field before publication. This is done in the form of peer review and follows a double-blind review process to prevent bias or the pursuit of any benefits. If the reviewers provide suggestions for further improvement or revisions to the article, the authors must complete these revisions within 2 weeks of receiving the evaluation results. Subsequently, the editor will make the final decision to accept or reject the article. The entire process from article submission to journal publication takes approximately 12-22 weeks.

Research Integrity Policy

Research articles related to human research must obtain approval from the Research Ethics Committee of an institution accredited by the National Research Council of Thailand, in accordance with international ethical and legal standards. Similarly, experiments involving laboratory animals must be certified by the Committee for the Ethical Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes and comply with the Animal for Scientific Purposes Act B.E. 2558.

Publication Ethics

Duties of Authors

  1. The authors certify that the submitted work for consideration has not been previously published elsewhere and is not concurrently being submitted to any other journal.
  2. The authors certify that the content of the article aligns with the objectives of the journal.
  3. The authors certify that the content of the work is original and has been synthesized by the authors themselves, without plagiarism, copying, or paraphrasing from the research work of others or from other articles without proper permission or appropriate citation.
  4. The authors must verify the accuracy of the reference list in terms of format and content.
  5. The authors must adjust the manuscript according to the journal's template and font size as specified in the author guidelines.
  6. The authors are willing to revise the manuscript according to the feedback from peer reviewers and editors within the specified timeframe.
  7. The authors certify that the research work has been reviewed by the Human Research Ethics Committee.
  8. The authors certify that the work has undergone plagiarism detection using turnitin or equivalent software (for theses/dissertations), and evidence should be provided if available.
  9. All authors listed in the article must have contributed substantially to the research and have obtained approval from all co-authors.
  10. The authors must disclose the funding sources for the research, and any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed in the article and notified to the editor.
  11. The authors should refrain from citing academic documents they have not read or including unnecessary references. Only necessary and appropriate references should be cited.
  12. Acknowledgments to those who contributed to the manuscript should be included in the article. Permission should be sought from those whom the authors wish to acknowledge beforehand if possible.
  13. The authors must not report inaccurate data in the article, whether it be fabrication, falsification, distortion, or selective reporting of data to conform to the conclusions.

Duties of Editors

  1. The editor has the responsibility to assess the completeness, integrity, and quality of the articles published in the academic journal.
  2. The editor must not publish articles that have been previously published elsewhere, whether in journal format or as full papers presented at academic conferences (proceedings).
  3. The editor must maintain confidentiality and not disclose information related to the manuscript to unrelated individuals, whether it pertains to the authors or the reviewers.
  4. The editor will make decisions on selecting and considering articles for publication that have undergone the evaluation process, based on the evaluations of qualified individuals, significance, topicality, clarity, and alignment of content with the journal's policies.
  5. The editor must not reject articles that do not meet the requirements unless there is clear evidence to support those doubts.
  6. The editor must not have any conflicting interests with the authors or reviewers.
  7. The editor must check for plagiarism in the work of others, and if there is clear evidence or confirmation of plagiarism, the editor will reject the publication of that article.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Reviewers must receive a system that protects the confidentiality of their personal information unless they are participating in an open review process, which has been notified to the authors and reviewers in advance.
  2. Reviewers must be provided with a system that ensures confidence that the submitted article for evaluation is kept confidential during the evaluation process.
  3. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not disclose information about the submitted article to unrelated individuals during the evaluation period.
  4. After receiving an article from the journal editor and realizing that they may have conflicting interests with the authors, such as being a project collaborator or having a personal relationship with the authors, or for any other reason that may prevent them from providing impartial comments and suggestions, reviewers should inform the journal editor and decline to review that particular article.
  5. Reviewers must acknowledge the guidance provided by the journal editor on every point and be receptive to contemporary suggestions for improvement, which can be referenced or linked to the aforementioned regulations.
  6. Reviewers should assess articles in their area of expertise, considering the relevance of the content to that field, the quality of analysis, and the depth of the work.
  7. Reviewers should not rely on personal opinions without supporting data as criteria for judging research articles.
  8. If reviewers become aware of any part of the article that resembles or duplicates the work of others, they must inform the journal editor.
