RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN MOTHER AND DAUGHTER IN THE DIGITAL AGE

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to create an artwork project titled “Relationships between mother and daughter in the digital age”. The creator would like to demonstrate personal mother-daughter relationships in the digital age as seen from self-portraits using a mobile phone. The existence of a human being with smartphones, online media using Pixel Images is a way of communication with digital HD (High-Definition) clarity while the relationships between humans take the opposite direction as they become part of a virtual world. In family, mother-daughter relationships are also affected.                                                                                  

         A series of works that illustrate the transformation of the mother-daughter relationships are different from family traditions in the past. By concentrating on social media, mobile phone, they live in a separate private world where not much space is left for intimate family interactions.
